Some people are born great but some attain greatness by their experience in life. Pranav was no exception to this. He was born in a lower middle class family where meeting ends of daily survival was the biggest challenge for the sole bread earner of the family.
Fulfilling requirements of daily chores was the biggest challenge for his father. Even thinking more than that was no short of luxury. His father tried his best to impart education to his 2 kids who studied in a nearby school. It was the best he could afford in his meagre income. The younger sibling Aarav was good in studies but Pranav did not find heart in studies. He used to day dream about other things, he had his own dreams and ambitions . He was passionate about singing. Music was his life. Day in and day out he thought nothing else but about being a good singer. He did not get any formal training from anybody but sang well. When rest of the class was busy preparing for exams , Pranav would be learning the lyrics of the latest song and rehearsing them . Since he did not have access to any means he would listen to the songs on FM radio which he had bought from the railway station. He would hide the same from his father who was always opposed to his interest in music. He was of the view that all such interests are meant for rich people who have access to luxuries in life. Middle class person should always focus to make arrangements for their survival of bread and butter.
Pranav would always sing songs whenever and wherever the situation would permit him. Out of his bathroom he sang when there was no teacher in the class, when he was walking to the school, when he eating food or when he got punishment from teacher and was made stand outside the class. He was a sort of apple of everybodys eye in the school whenever there was any occasion to sing a song in public place. AT annual function students and teachers awaited for his performance. He won several awards in interschool competitions. Though he was known to so many people but still was unknown to people who mattered i.e. music directors.
One fine day he overhead some students talking about an audition happening near their school for a reality show. It was talent based show where anyone could appear to showcase his talent. Pranav got interested and went straight to the venue. There were hundreds and thousands of people waiting in queue. He too waited in queue but unfortunately by the time his turn would come the packing was done for shooting . He was left with no other
Then to follow them to next city where shooting was scheduled to happen. He borrowed some money from his friends and went ahead. He had no option to stay in any hotel so slept on railway platform and ate in langar of nearby gurudwara. After waiting the entire night in the queue his turn came. He knew it was the chance and 2 minutes to impress the judge. He gave his best shot, singing the most difficult song. The judges were impressed and shortlisted him for the audition. He started shooting for episodes in the coming weeks and soon the show went on air. Never in his wildest dreams he had realized that his life would take such a turn of events. He was most admired singer on the show. The judges went gaga about him, the audience all over the country voted for him. He became the winner of the show.
Well his fortune did not end there . He got multiple offers from various music directors to be playback singer for their movies. Pranav had now become a household name .He was no less than a star.
His passion for music had changed his life entirely. He was the pride of this parents ,teachers, school and everyone close to him. He became inspiration to hundreds of people and gave an important lesson in life that if one follows his dream with passion, dedication and commitment ; there is no way he can be stopped to achieve them.
Pranav took music and singing to new heights.
