Few days ago as I was going through my mails I was excited to see mail from blogadda. Well , mail from Blogadda always excites me, but this time this mail was different.
I was happily surprised to see about Share the Load #WashBucketChallenge . Well this is not a challenge for me since I am an active participant at my home when it comes to do laundry.
To be frank I did not know to do laundry till the time I was studying in school and stayed with my parents. I learnt washing clothes when I moved out of my home in 2001. I did laundry all by myself till 2011 when I got married. I am a firm believer that husband and wife should both bear the responsibility of household chores, especially when both are working. My wife Bhawna resists when I try to do laundry. But I love to help her and I participate in this activity along with her. Doing laundry together over the weekend is more of fun than a burden since I get opportunities to tease my wife and have fun together.
With prior experience of washing clothes both my hands and machine , I did not have any issues in taking up this challenge. Infact I was little disappointed earlier when this activity was thrown open only for women bloggers. But as I know blogadda , they make sure we all are happy , this mail and activity delighted me.
I showed interest in this activity and after applying , the ariel matic sample was couriered to me . One fine day , I pulled up my socks and got down to the task at hand.
All the dirty laundry of the house was collected and I was ready for action. At first I filled the washing machine with water. Then I opened the ariel matic pouch and poured all the detergent in the water. Then I put all the dirty clothes and swung the machine in action. After that I put the clothes to rinse and dry . Bhawna and myself were delighted to see neat ,dry and sweet smelling clothes. She was more happy that once again I helped her in otherwise a boring chore at home
With this activity I would like to send a message to all my friends , especially males that doing laundry is not alone a woman’s task or of a single person at home. Husband & wife should participate equally in this activity. This will not only make your partner happy but you too will be contended and satisfied after seeing a smile on your spouse’s face. I appreciate Ariel and blogadda to take this step against this inequality in our society.is
