Crystals of sugar and my Life…..

January 4, 2010 by 28 Comments

As I was writing the last piece of code, a pop up spruces up from my  office communicator

“TGIF” with Sunny’s name at the top , soon Anupam, Shobhit, Satinder , Varun, Oj, Anirudh , Pawan, Ashutosh are also invited for group chat.

“What is TGIF dude ?” wrote Anirudh

“Tujhe TGIF nahi pata ? ” wrote sunny

“Are  yeh TGIF nahi jaanta” soon all just sprang up on Anirudh as if TGIF was as famous as PSPO.

“TGIF  means Thank God Its Friday” wrote Varun

So here came Friday again and as usual it was time to chill and celebrate  from sucking IT life.

“Let’s move out from office and get together at Ponnu Da Dhaba on East Coast  Road”

This was our favourite hot spot for weekly get together and the best place if you love non veg.

“Satinder , yaar don’t forget to call Maninder , Manjeet and Guptaji too “ Sunny sent the last message and close the chat session.

Everyone just finished  off their  work in office and scurried to our “adda”.

Chennai is one of those metros where you get the feeling of being in a alien country with all alien environment. Add to it is the hectic life of software engineers who are pissed off from their busy schedule .Luckily we had formed a group here with friends from different companies.

We made sure to have a weekly get  together to dine and chill out,no  doubt nobody liked to miss this weekly affair, making excuses to their bosses and girlfriends to be here.

Soon  Satinder, Maninder and  Manjeet came there on their Enfield with the thunderous noise which would make any bike lover go crazy.

bike

They were soon followed by rest of the friends on their respective pulsars and cars.

Everyone had their own stories to share , the girl who was the hottest one in other team, recent movie released, plan to switch job ,discussion about the T20 matches, cursing our respective managers , chennai food, college life and all those stuff.

Amidst all these discussion we had been responsible for half a dozen chicken’s death , some pounds of rotis and salads and bucket full of lassi.

team2

“So bhai log whats next ” said Satinder. I saw my watch , it was 11 pm .

“I feel like having a cup of tea” said Shobhit.

“Ok lets have it ” said Pawan.

“Let me finish first dude, I want to have tea in Mahabalipuram” said Shobhit.

For normal human beings it would have been a crazy idea to drive 90 Km for a cup of tea , which is easily available anywhere in city. But ours is no ordinary group , we are group of crazy fellows.

All jumped on their bikes  to drive for a cup of tea.

“Yaar the weather is awesome today with full moon shining in the sky” said Pawan

“Kya mast maja ayega drive karne mein along the seashore” I shouted

ECR is known for the beauty of sea admired  from the road running parallel to it till Pondicherry. And if its full moon night the sea is more beautiful than ever. And for  crazy people like us this was one of the excuses to drive along and enjoy the nature at its best.

Soon our bikes were zooming on the ECR road.

“Loose control……”

“Koi deewana  kehta hai  koi pagal samjhata hai”

“Yeh dosti hum nahi chodenge”

“Bolo tara tara…”

“Talli hua talli hua … yara dekho yara mera talli hua…”

“aaalll izzz wellll….”

All were singing in chorous at top of our voices and driving while people watched as if we had committed some crime.

But who cared.

On a beautiful location we stopped and ran towards shore .All dragged each other into water and were splashing water on each other,  feets in sands ,hands held by bonds of friendship,  laughter and giggle all around. Suddenly there was vehicle approaching us with multiple halogen lights on it and siren ringing with top of the pitch.

Suddenly my eyes opened and I saw my room filled with  smoke and the fire alarm ringing. I ran in the kitchen with  smoke coming out of the tea pan and crystals of sugar lying beside. Here I was thousands of miles away from my friends in alien country all alone

alone2

I wondered whether it were crystals of sugar lying scattered or my life   ??

How Sweet! I love Halloween decorations that are not gory and scary as I still have a (somewhat) little guy at home. I love it without the spider but to make it less &##810;girly&28222; the spider is a nice touch. Thanks for all the beautiful and creative things you all share with us!

I think that what you published was actually very logical.
But, think about this, suppose you were to write a
killer post title? I mean, I don’t wish to tell you how to run your blog, however suppose you added a title to
possibly get a person’s attention? I mean Crystals of sugar and my Life…..
    | Direct Dil se….. is a little boring. You ought to look at Yahoo’s
home page and watch how they create news titles to get people to click.
You might add a related video or a picture or two to grab
readers interested about everything’ve written. Just my opinion, it could bring your posts a little bit more interesting.
